Rev. John Forry had the privilege of travelling to a little village outside of Victoria city in Mexico in November 2004. He was invited by Miracle Place Church to be part of a mission team who would go and build a church building for local brothers and sisters there.
This team consisted of a group of believers from Miracle Place Church and was led by Pastor Mike Lablonc. Pastor Mike was the translator on this mission, in addition to overseeing that the group stayed safe. The missions team travelled from Baker, Louisiana to a little village near Victoria, Mexico by van. Once the group arrived in Mexico they were greeted and welcomed with loving arms. Jesus was with them and they were on a mission.
The group stayed at Pastor Ramone’s home in the little town and enjoyed getting to know his family and friends. Pastor Ramone is one of a few pastors who travel into the mountain regions and pastor there and in nearby towns. These few pastors oversee over 15 churches. The missions group was able to minister in these churches and John saw Jesus do many great things each and everyday while in Mexico. Miracles were happening each and every worship service. Some of the miracles they saw were: Salvations, People released from Demonic Oppression and Physical Healings.
By the end of this mission, the foundation and walls for the church were constructed by the team and local believers. In addition a 10 ft. by 10 ft. hole was dug for a future septic tank. This was a fun project for the team members, lol. The people in Mexico are a very humble people and demonstrate love for others and their own families. John saw the love of Jesus demonstrated to him first hand by these Mexican brethren.
In March another mission to Mexico was a go. John was blessed to travel again with the team from Miracle Place Church and serve along side the brothers and sisters for a second time. This mission again saw Jesus do many awesome things in each of their lives and through them as well. During this second mission, the medal roof of the church was constructed and another huge hole for a septic tank was dug.
The group had the chance to travel into Victoria city and minister at a local church run by a couple who take care of orphans and other hurting people in that city. This couple emanated the love of Jesus and John saw him in their lives. If you have a chance to travel to Mexico and serve the local people there, we strongly recommend the experience.
